Working with and training dogs is the career I’ve always dreamed of doing. During my junior year in college, I completed an internship with the San Antonio Zoo. Throughout that internship, I got to participate in many training sessions with many amazing exotic animals. It was then that I realized training animals was what I wanted to pursue a career in after I graduated.

During my senior year of college, I took an animal behavior psychology class (mainly directed towards dog training) and everything I learned was fascinating. While I was in college, I worked as a vet assistant at a local animal clinic and was constantly handling dogs and speaking to clients.

After I graduated from college, I rescued the sweetest pitbull puppy who I named Winnie. She made me grow the biggest heart for pitties and inspired me to start fostering pitbulls frequently through a nonprofit organization that I was employed through in San Antonio. I worked incredibly hard to teach all my fosters basic manners and to help them learn to trust people, considering several of them had been found as strays.

Sit Means Sit provided me with the opportunity to begin my career in something in which I am extremely passionate about. My favorite part of the training process is helping owners understand how training their dogs basic commands can be used to shape their dog’s behavior. I am so excited to be a part of the Sit Means Sit family in Austin and I’m looking forward to working with you and your precious fur babies!
