I’ve been part of the Sit Means Sit family since 2016 and it’s one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve had, and I don’t even train the dogs! As part of the office team, I am one of the first people you will talk to when you reach out to us, and I get to hear all the reasons why people are searching for training. From people who just adopted a new pup to folks who are about to be kicked out of their apartments due to their dog’s aggressive behaviors. I have heard it all, and the best part of this job is talking to those same people 2 or 3 months later and hearing how much their lives have changed and how they can finally enjoy their dogs.
I came across Sit Means Sit while trying to find a job that I could really love and grow into. I excel at office work and I love dogs, so this was a great opportunity for me. I have two dogs of my own who both knew how to sit and some basic tricks, but I had never even considered professional dog training before. And while I am much better suited for the office position than a trainer, working with this awesome team has taught me so much and allowed me to train my own dogs into much better mannered pups. And as a mom with two young, rowdy boys running around my house, being able to control my dogs behaviors when I need to is super helpful for us.
I’m proud to be a part of this group of hard-working people who genuinely love what they do. Our little office team works super hard to be the bridge between our trainers and our clients, and it’s amazing to come to work every day and get to do a job worth doing.
